today has been a good day, for christmas eve day eats, i went to togo's and ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich on honey oat with lettuce tomatoes and pickles. for snacks, i have had eggnog and fritos which is an awesome combo thanks to brooke's man.

tonight for christmas eve dinner, my dad is bbq'ing some steaks and he actually bought me a filet mignon. YUM.

saturday before the big game between USC AND UCLA, i had some time to drive down to corona del mar and visit sprinkles. every holiday season at sprinkles they feature peppermint cupcakes and eggnog spice cupcakes. this year i was lucky enough to buy 2 vanilla peppermint and 1 chocolate peppermint, which i gave to my mom.

for this post i will be talking warm food, working out, and shopping. now that i don't have a job, i am obsessed with looking at stores online and shopping till i drop. currently i am obsessed with gap skinny jeans and victoria's secret PINK USC line. obsessed. i have lost almost close to 50 pounds and i only have 50 to go. WOW. in terms of working out, i am currently doing 3 mile workouts. well, 5K'S. i am so so so proud.

hello everyone!!

well i reached a milestone regarding my workouts. in february i did a couple of 5k's at the gym. well yesterday and today i did 3.11 and 3.34. yes, i know it's not a lot in regards to other people in the food blog world but i am getting there. I AM SO SORE. i can barely walk. i have to start doing 3 miles or above if i want to see a difference in the scale. yesterday's workout was really hard because i pushed myself and today's walk with a little jogging was tough because i am still sore from yesterday. wow, it's a vicious cycle but i am ready for the ride. when you are sore, at least you know you are doing something right. after today's workout, i showered and then got gas to fill my tank and then i went to trader joes. one of my friends said she saw pumpkin cream cheese at trader joes and i just had to have some. i also bought ice cream sandwiches, apple cider, wasabi WOW! MIX, ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread, chips, pretzel slims, and dark chocolate pretzel slims.

in terms of sports, USC LOST!! NEW YORK JETS WON!! YAY YAY YAY! also san francisco giants are in the NLCS to play the phillies. wow it's going to be a good series. i can't wait.

hello lovepies!! and GUYS!!

today i started the day off pretty early, meaning 9am. sorry i feel really bad but usually i get up around 11 and now that soleil and matt are here, i have been getting up at like 9am. when i got up, i saw that soleil and mom were eating breakfast, so i turned on the laptop and did business. i then got dressed to get ready to take soleil and matt to the airport but i didn't end up going so i changed out of my street clothes and got my workout clothes on and i was on my way to 2.25 miles. it was a great workout because it was nice and cloudy and i felt good the entire workout. when i came home i waited for my mom to make lunch and she made tuna!! it was delish. i then took a shower and got dressed for the 3rd time and went to starbizzle and ordered a salted caramel hot chocolate. OMG, it was yummy. I then came home and downloaded some songs that i have been wanting to download for what seems weeks and finally got my stuff together and did it. i purchased some songs of bruno mars new album and bought the nfl app.

here i am in fullerton and it's 105 DEGREES!! i went to the gym today and did 2.5 miles. yes, it's little but i am slowly getting back into the groove of things. after the gym, i came home and relaxed a bit and then got dressed to do errands. i went to trader joes and here are some of the purchases:

hello everyone!!

i just wanted to give you an update in how i am doing. i caught a cold on monday and i have been stuffed up, had a sore throat, and a lingering dry cough. the thing that is most annoying about this certain type of cold is that it's dry and i can't get rid of it. it's frequent coughing and very painful. i don't know what's causing me to cough every 15 seconds but something is. wednesday night my mother went and got ramen for me and it made me feel much much better. if you are ever in anaheim, there is a place called osaka and it's delicious food. i recommend everyone go there. they have good sushi and excellent yaki soba.

i just wanted to post because i have some pictures to show you. i am really excited for tomorrow because i get KOGI!! it's korean bbq for all of you who haven't heard of it. the KOGI truck is making rounds in orange county now, and like i said, so excited.

hello everyone!!

last night my father made penne alla vodka from scratch. we used fresh roma tomatoes for the tomato sauce and they simmered along with the pancetta and garlic and it smelled so so so good. the night before we had dry aged ribeye's from a meat store in newport beach. i recommend the store to everyone because they have awesome steaks and are so so so good.

tonight we are having a kobe ribeye and the steak is huge, it's like 2 inches thick. other than food, yesterday afternoon i went to the brea mall and i was shocked when i got there. when i drove into the parking structure i was amazed at how busy they were. i guess everyone is shopping for fall and getting new clothes??? it was only about 75 here yesterday, so trying to escape the heat is out. anyways, i was amazed. i then walked into the apple store and it was packed with at least 200 people. i then walked to an apple store worker and asked for my 16gb red nano. i actually donated money for aids because it's a (red) product.

thursday night i had the KOGI TRUCK!! OMG, it's so delish!! here they are:


and then last night my dad made caprese salad with berrata cheese. we also used high quality olive oil and 12 year aged balsimic vinegar. yum!!


while i was eating dinner last night i requested that my dad make french toast for breakfast. we he did it and here was the end product:


after the picture was taken i added peanut butter and a had a piece of bacon. another YUM!!

a week in review.

hello everyone!!

sorry for the absence on the blog for the past week but a lot has happened. last thursday, my mother's cat was put to sleep. yes, it was a very sad day in the house because she was the sweetest cat ever. she never hurt my mom once, the 16 years she was with the family. honestly, i know i should have been more remorseful but she was mean to me. she only really liked my mom. she spent most of her time on my mother's bed and slept in our greenhouse.

wednesday night, my mother made a pasadilllarie. it contained sausage, carmalized onions, herbed goat cheese and potatoes. it was the best tart i have ever had in a long time. OH, my mouth waters just thinking about it. here it is:


we also had an arugula salad with the tart and it was an awesome meal. two days ago i bought black skinny jeans and i can't wait for them to get here. i am so so so excited.

i would talk about the angels, but their season is totally over.

hello bay bays!!

so..i graduated in august of 09, i haven't found a job yet. i have been looking a little but i am content on the money i receive monthly from an anonymous source. lately though i have been thinking, i really want a job and i really want to move to a popular city. cities in the running are, san francisco, new york city, newport beach, and irvine. i really don't want to move to the other side of the country because i am really close to my parents. i think an ideal place would be newport or corona del mar. seriously.

also lately i have been taking trips to peets, starbucks, and coffee bean and tea leaf. i go to peets and get a medium iced vanilla latte. at starbucks i get everything. iced green tea lemonade, carmel macchiato, iced latte and passion tea lemonade. at coffee bean and tea leaf, i order iced tea, and a mocha blended with hazelnut syrup. also keeping me busy is shopping. i go to tilly's occassionally and target. i love target for pants and shorts. love love love. also i have been buying lots of victoria's secret gear lately. on thursday i bought the new york jets green v-neck and the bling sweatshirt. OMG, i want the GEAR NOW!! the victoria secret PINK NFL line was just released on tuesday and everything is awesome. i am all for NEW YORK JETS!! mark sanchez all the way!! i also bought the angels bling sweatshirt, and the angels maroon v-neck. both have rhinestones. everything with some type of rhinestone, i LOVE!

on the weight loss front, i am maintaining. i am gaining and then losing. right now i am stuck at a certain weight but i seriously need to lose about 50 more pounds. i need to start going to the gym again and get in the daily routine. every two or three days i workout but it needs to be like every day.

hello everyone!!

so..last week i really had a bad couple of days eating wise. one day i went to in-n-out and the next day, i went to the habit. both are delish but the habit has a very special place in my heart. OMG, the thought of it just makes my mouth water. saturday, i went to a party for my brother's friend 40th birthday. while i was at the party, i had mexican and it was also delish. i gained something like 6 pounds, in a matter of like 4 days. monday, i said to myself i am going to lose all the weight i just gained. you know what??? i lost all of the 6 pounds by today. i think i did well and i accomplished my short term goal. now my goal is to lose more!! i have a party to go to next weekend and i rreally need to look my best. i may not make it to the party, but that's a whole other story that's not blog material. it's personal.

well next week this time, i will be in san luis obispo for a day. please be excited because beautiful pictures of food and scenery are going to be posted.

good afternoon!!

soo..my fourth of july was okay, unfortunately my mother wasn't celebrating the holiday with us and i missed her the entire night. the menu for the dinner was homemade baby back ribs, coconut marinated chicken, country cooks potato salad, asian salad, and veggie skewers. for dessert we had homemade coconut cake and pineapple upside down cake. the only thing i had for dessert was a piece of the coconut cake. OMG, it was to die for.

well the fireworks and the company was amazing for the 4th of july. yesterday i was a little hungover but the party was okay and sort of fun. next year i need to consider making new plans.

tomorrow i will be sleeping in, going to starbizzle, and then off to fullerton. the people whose house i am visiting are having an island theme with decorations and food. we will be watching fireworks courtesy of the fullerton high school firework show and enjoying music by glen. i can't wait!! happy 4th of july!!

a little story on my niece, well she had to have tubes placed in her ears. she is 11 months, isn't that sad??? i mean she had the surgery on monday and she is doing a lot better since she had them placed in her ears. she is already in a better mood. i love medicine. on the topic of tubes. well i had them placed in my ears 5 times. i know all too well, what my niece is going through.

while i was in san jose 2 weeks ago, matt, nic, and i all went to los gatos for some wine tasting. the first winery we went to was testarossa and it was amazing. testarossa's red wines are to die for. also at the winery because it was los gatos wine festival, they had a whole block of mt. tam. damn, IT WAS AMAZING. after testarossa, we went to black ridge winery and i have a couple of photos:





yes, the views at black were to die for and that's about it. BR's wine isn't that good at all, the only thing they have going for them is their view. that's it.


well in talking about the man, well today he checked on my profile. that is such BS. i really want to get rid of it because i don't want him looking at my picture for personal reasons. this is the worst thing that could of happened and i never want to talk to him again. right now, i want nothing to do with him. he didn't break my heart, he is making me really pissed off.

hello friends and readers!!

so..from june 10th to june 23th, i was in willow glen with my brother and his wife. while the trip was a lot of fun, i lost something. i am about to be in a relationship with a great guy and all the days i was in nor-cal, i missed him so much. about halfway through the trip we stopped talking to each other. i hated every minute that i missed talking to him. in the past couple of days things have been off and i think today i patched some things up. am i happy?? i don't know. we will have to see what the future holds for us. he is a MAN, in all ways and he is the perfect guy that i have been looking for. I have to get the courage to actually go out with him. i know i shouldn't be sharing this on the internet but oh well. i am being honest and it needs to be written down somewhere.

while we were in sac-town two weekends ago, we went to the grange and i had rhuarab crepes for dessert. here is a photo.


yesterday my father bought me a new computer. it's the white 13" macbook. HOW FREAKIN AWESOME IS THAT??/ YES I DO LOVE MY NEW MAC!! it's ready to use out of the box and i have my music and my photos on it already. it's so easy. i am in love. it does everything i want it too and more. i am excited to use ichat with my brothers family.

to talk about frozen yogurt, PINKBERRY HAS WATERMELON!! it's ok, it's nothing to be shocked over. the mango swirl is so much better than this watermelon summer flavor. well i am outta here for now, lata!

hello readers and loves!!

so as the title states, i am in willow glen until next monday morning. thursday morning i flew southwest to san jose and i have been here ever since enjoying this summer weather and just enjoying the area. thursday i came home from the airport i immediately went to the local taco joint and ordered a breakfast burrtio. the breakfast burrito had chorizo, eggs, pinto beans, fresh avocado and sour cream. yum to the o. thursday night we ended up going to outback where i gorged myself on a bloomin onion and a shrimp griller. i also had two margaritas but don't tell anyone at how yummy they are. we also ended up babysitting a 10 year old named ethan. he was a really nice boy to hang around for 4 hours.

friday, my brother worked until 3 and then we left for the san jose train station to get on the cal train to go to san francisco for the GIANTS GAME!!! LINCECUm was pitching and he pitched, i think 7 innings. he pitched a great game and they won 6 to 2. NOTE: GIANTS SWEPT THE ATHLETICS!! at the game i had garlic fries and there famous fresh caramel corn. OMG, YUM!! also at the game we had the cuervo margartias. another, YUM! while i was at the game, i went to the dugout store and bought a san francisco giants jacket. i am purely in love.

saturday, around 1 we went for a 6 mile walk to bill's in willow glen and it was so FREAKIN HOT!! i think it was 88 degrees. at bill's, i ordered the chilaquiles and a mimosa. OMG, YUM! we walked back to the house and then changed into our bathing suits and had a mini pool party with some of the people who live around my brother. i stayed in the pool for about half an hour and then came up to the house and did some blogging. that night we ordered pizza from mountain mike's and moved the party to the condo. it was a great time. it's the best time i have had in a while.

sunday, we went wine tasting in los gatos and had a really really good time. the los gatos wine festival was going on and first went to testarossa winery. the winery had a whole block of mt. tam. OMG, SO FREAKIN FANTASTIC!! The second winery we went to was black ridge vineyard and there wines were ok, nothing to get too excited about. the third winery we went to, was an actual tasting room in los gatos called cinnabar. after cinnabar, we went to el casa corde and i had some of the best mexican food i have ever had in my entire life. the food was very authentic and from mochotan, or something like that. we ordered yuong pig carnitas, braised bacon tacos, and carne asada tacos with avocado and roasted tomato salsa. yum!

today has been a good day. i went to the gym and did 2.5 miles on the treadmill and it was horrible. i was not having a very good time except i did more running than usual. last thursday, my mother and i went to mfoscari in anaheim hills and i wanted to share with you whaT I ate.

OH, do i have some news to tell you. i decided to join match for love. now i have people who i am attracted too, they just don't like me and what i do. i need help on how to find love on match. i do not know how to look for love because love is supposed to come when you are not looking. HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!

in other news, i bought my first pair of skinny jeans. for all of my few readers out there, i bought the gap skinny jeans saturated wash. i am so freakin excited to get them.

the other thing that i have been doing with my time is going to the gym everyday. today was an off day because my time of the month.

hello ladies and gents!!

i am writing you this post from the san francisco area. saturday morning my mom, dad and i drove our way up north to san jose / willow glen area. saturday night we headed to lb steak at santana row and it was seriously amazing experience and food. the whole expereience was awesome. i ordered the 12oz. rib eye, truffled mac and cheese, and BLT salad. WOW!!

yesterday we all packed up the car and headed north to san francisco. we spent the afternoon at the ferry building:

I also went to blue bottle coffee because people have been saying it's the best damn coffee EVA!! i ordered a new orleans style iced ocffee and i was impressed. it was yummo.

we also stopped at the rechutti chocolatier, they have the BEST chocolate and caramels EVA!! i love rechutti!!
